access control - single family residence

Controlling who can access a home is an important part of personal safety and security.  This access control can be achieved through the use of smart locks or the use of smartphones (see photo to the left), functioning as a security token.

Smart locks for single family residences enable the owner(s) to control who enters the property and can even log when a door is opened and in many cases, by whom.  Advanced systems use a person's smartphone to open the door and enable that person to unlock a door and turn on lights when they are in their car nearby or parked in the garage.  This enables the homeowner or resident to safely enter their home in the dark or during inclement weather.  No more fumbling for keys or finding a light switch: it's all done for you!

Keeping an eye on who's at the front door, making sure your baby is sleeping soundly, and checking in on the kids in the playroom -- all of these things can be done with a home video surveillance system.  You can check in on these areas (cameras) from your smart phone, no matter where you are, and make sure that your home is safe and secure.

access control - apartments

Controlling access to an apartment complex site (perimeter), buildings, and individual units is important for tenant safety.  However, with medium to large sized complexes, managing the access controls can be a challenge.

Simpele specializes in selecting a smart lock system for your MDU complex that can scale as your needs grow.  Below are the three rings of access control you might need for your MDU:

  1. Access control to the complex - electric gates that control access by pedestrians and vehicles
  2. Access control to buildings and common areas - controlling who can enter a building or a common area such as a pool
  3. Access control to individual apartment units - controlling who can access an individual unit

With our Touchless Internet Wi-Fi backbone network, we can integrate these smart lock systems into a single, integrated solution for your property managers and tenants.

Keeping an eye out on the public areas of your property is very important.  Tenants feel (and are) more secure when they know that a video surveillance system is recording all people and events in the public areas of their apartment complex.  In the unlikely and unfortunate event that something goes awry - a package is stolen, a car broken into -- your property manager can provide this video information to law enforcement to resolve the problem.

These video records can be stored locally on a DVR in your leasing office and, depending on the system you choose, a complete copy of the video streams can be stored in the cloud, where they can be accessed by property management staff from their smart phone or tablet.

If you opt to install our complex-wide Wi-Fi network, the video streams from these cameras can be transported over this network.  Using this network saves you from having to install a duplicate wired or wireless network solely to support the video surveillance system.
